What We Do

Prepare, certify and support qualified trainer candidates seeking to provide the State of Florida's Child Welfare Pre-service Training Curriculum to child welfare professional certification candidates charged with the responsibility to investigate child abuse and neglect, supervise abused and neglected children in their own homes and in foster care, and when necessary, secure permanent adoptive homes. This is accomplished through the provision of trainer candidate instruction, observation, feedback, consultation, technical assistance, and professional development plans.

Prepare, certify and support qualified trainer candidates seeking certification to provide the State of Florida's Supervising for Excellence Training Curriculum to child welfare supervisor certification candidates charged with the responsibility of supervising child welfare professionals as described above.

Administration of the State of Florida's Child Welfare Professional Certification and Trainer Certification Programs. This includes registration of all trainer candidates for trainer certification courses, trainees for child welfare training courses, tracking attendance, registration and tracking of on-line testing, documentation and tracking of Child Welfare Trainer, Supervising for Excellence Trainer and Child Welfare Professional Certification information, and certification notification to all successful candidates.
