What We Do
Prepare, certify, and support Child Welfare Trainers who provide pre-service training to child welfare professionals charged with the responsibility to investigate child abuse and neglect, supervise abused and neglected children in their own homes and in foster care, and when necessary, secure permanent adoptive homes. This is accomplished through the provision of trainer candidate instruction, observation and feedback, consultation, technical assistance, and professional development plans.
Administration of the State of Florida's Child Protection Professional Certification Program. This includes the registration of pre-service trainees for child welfare pre-service training courses, tracking course attendance, registration and tracking for on-line testing, registration for field based assessment activities, tracking of field based activities, and notification of successful completion of certification activities.
