Visitor Parking
It is important that all visitors obtain and display a parking permit while here at the University of South Florida. Parking Services representatives monitor parking lots very closely and will issue a ticket to any vehicle not displaying a proper parking permit.
Also, please be aware that when classes are in session (particularly during the fall and spring semesters), parking spaces can be difficult to find due to the increased amount of employee and student traffic on campus. Therefore, arrive as early as possible during these times.

Option 1: Parking Lot 38T is the closest parking lot to the building where training will be held and visitor parking is allowed. This is a non-paved lot located on the east side of the Florida Mental Health Institute facing Fletcher Avenue. Across the street from this lot you can see the University Community Hospital Pediatric Care Center and the entrance to the hospital’s Emergency Room. The cost of parking is $4 per day, CASH ONLY. A parking permit machine is located at the entrance to the lot. This machine will ONLY accept $1.00 bills. Once the required currency is deposited you will receive a receipt that serves as your parking permit. DO NOT make purchases in advance of the day you will be visiting the campus. The receipt will show the current date and is good for ONE DAY only. Therefore you must repeat the process for each day you will be parking in this lot. It is very important that you make sure that the receipt is placed on the dashboard of your vehicle and that the receipt information is clearly visible for inspection by parking services representatives. In addition, please make sure that when you close the vehicle door the receipt does not blow off the dashboard.
From I-275 take Fowler Avenue going east. Continue traveling east past the University Mall which will be to your right. Turn left at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Continue traveling on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and after passing the Veteran’s Administration Hospital which will be to your left, turn right at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Fletcher Avenue. Continue traveling to USF Banyan Circle and turn right, immediately turn left, continue to Lot 38T which will be to your left (approximately 3.1 miles from I-275).
From I-75 take Fowler Avenue going west. Continue traveling west across Fowler Avenue and 56th Street. After crossing Fowler Avenue and 56th Street continue traveling west and USF will become visible to your right. Continue traveling west to Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Turn right on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and after passing the Veteran’s Administration Hospital which will be to your left, turn right at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Fletcher Avenue. Continue traveling to USF Banyan Circle and turn right, immediately turn left, continue to Lot 38T which will be to your left (approximately 5.4 miles from I-75).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Option 2: Permits may be purchased at the Parking Services building located off of West Holly Drive on Plum Drive, which is just west of the USF post office, or east of Laurel Drive. The cost is $4 per day and the method of payment is MasterCard or VISA. NO CASH or checks are accepted at this location. The benefits of using this option is that you may purchase permits for the entire time that you will be visiting the campus as opposed to the daily purchases outlined in Option 1, and the permits hang on your mirror. The facility opens at 7:30a.m., Monday – Friday. If this option is chosen, make sure that the month, day and year on the permit is scratched off.
From I-275 take Fowler Avenue going east. Continue traveling east past the University Mall which will be to your right. Turn left at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Continue traveling on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and after passing the Veteran’s Administration Hospital which will be to your left, turn right at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Holly Drive. Continue traveling on Holly Drive to the Parking Services building on Plum Drive, which will be to your left (approximately 3.79 miles from I-275).
From I-75 take Fowler Avenue going west. Continue traveling west across Fowler Avenue and 56th Street. After crossing Fowler Avenue and 56th Street continue traveling west and USF will become visible to your right. Continue traveling west to the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Turn right on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and after passing the Veteran’s Administration Hospital which will be to your left, turn right at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Holly Drive. Continue traveling on Holly Drive to the Parking Services building on Plum Drive, which will be to your left (approximately 5 miles from I-75).

Option 3: Permits may be purchased at the Campus Information Center located at the main entrance to the USF campus off Fowler Avenue on Leroy Collins Drive. The cost is $4 per day and the method of payment is MasterCard or VISA. NO CASH or checks are accepted at this location. The benefits of using this option is that you may purchase permits for the entire time that you will be visiting campus, as opposed to the daily purchases outlined in Option 1, and the permits hang on your mirror. The facility opens at 7:00a.m., Monday – Friday. If this option is chosen, make sure that the month, day and year on the permit is scratched off.
From I-275 take Fowler Avenue going east. Continue traveling east past the University Mall which will be to your right. After crossing the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard continue traveling east to Leroy Collins Drive and Fowler Avenue. Turn left onto Leroy Collins Drive and the Welcome Center will be to your right (approximately 2.98 miles from I-275).
From I-75 take Fowler Avenue going west. Continue traveling west across the intersection of Fowler Avenue and 56th Street. After crossing the intersection of Fowler Avenue and 56th Street continue traveling west and USF will become visible to your right. Continue traveling west to Fowler Avenue and Leroy Collins Drive. Merge into the right turn lane and turn right on Leroy Collins Drive. The Welcome Center will be to your right (approximately 4.90 miles from I-75).
